Located at a distance of 420 km. from Dhaka,  Cox's Bazar is connected both by air and road from Dhaka and Chittagong. Having the world's longest (120 kilometers.) beach sloping gently down to the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal, Cox's Bazar is one of the most attractive tourist spots in the country.

The wonders of the nature. There are different spots of  Hotels for tourists to stay ranging from 5 stars, 3 stars to normal to be considered as Motel. The Sand has plenty of sunshine round the year and the sea is free from danger of all types of wild sea animals. A tourist can reach have both by Air and Bus. Many international flights are being operated at Chittagong International Airport. Of course Foreign tourists can fly directly to Cox's Bazar from Dhaka at 3/4 different days of week.

Cox's Bazar District is Chittagong division with an area of 2491.86 sq km, is bounded by Chittagong district on the north, Bay of Bengal on the south, Bandarban district, Arakan (Myanmer) and the Naf river on the east, the Bay of Bengal on the west. Annual average temperature maximum 34.8°C and minimum 16.1°C; annual rainfall 4285 mm. The district having been a coastal region often falls victim to sea storm, tidal bore, hurricane and cyclone. Main offshore islands: Maheshkhali, Kutubdia, Matarbari, Sonadia, Shah pari and St Martin's or Jinjira. Main rivers are the Matamuhuri, Bakkhali, Reju Khal, Naf, Maheshkhali channel and Kutubdia channel; Main forests areas are Phulchhari Range, Bhumaria-ghona Range, Meher-ghona Range, Bak Khali Range. Cox's Bazar represents the longest sea beach of the world and charming forest belt.
